We live in a part of the country that normally doesn't get snow, or if we do, there isn't much of it. Usually, there is a rain/ice storm mid-winter.
Last night, the snow came. It coated the area with a thick blanket (5 inches in our small town). It was beautiful, but the kind of snow I like: by noon at was 45 degrees out so all of the snow was melting.
Unfortunately, life in the Big City was wretched with wrecks on all the major freeways, and closed over-passes. Once again, I am thankful that I no longer live there. Big Cities in the South just don't do winter.

Wow! Snow has just passed us by this year. I love that second shot.
Beautiful photos, just beautiful! (Made nicer by the fact that the horrid stuff melted and was gone.)
Patience
Atlanta is in a crisis if we get 1/2 inch.
Your photos are gorgeous!
